This project marked the beginning of KJW’s relationship with the Monmouth County Vocational School District. This new High School building was constructed on the campus of Monmouth County’s Brookdale Community College to serve as a specialized career academy that emphasizes the disciplines of science, mathematics, and technology in support of its pre-engineering career focus.

This project marked the beginning of KJW’s relationship with the Monmouth County Vocational School District. This new High School building was constructed on the campus of Monmouth County’s Brookdale Community College to serve as a specialized career academy that emphasizes the disciplines of science, mathematics, and technology in support of its pre-engineering career focus.

The original building with a footprint of just 14,000 square feet relies on the Community College for added classroom and fitness spaces. The school has been hugely successful, regularly making Newsweek’s list of top high school in the nation. KJW has subsequently prepared plans for 3 major additions and upgrades to the building, more than tripling it in size to over 52,000 square feet. The high school was one of the first to have computer classrooms with internet access.
